Field Action Projects
The College has always been keenly aware of the need to provide relevant and effective services to people, especially in those areas where services are inadequate or non-existent. Over the years, therefore, many innovative projects were initiated to address the needs of vulnerable groups such as street children, construction workers, children of commercial sex workers, tribals in remote areas and other similar groups.
Our main field action projects include Prerana, Vatsalya, Vasundhara, Sakhya, Setu, Pratham, Nirman, Salokha, Ankur and Anubhav Mumbai. Some of these projects have moved on to become independent NGOs and continue to contribute to the development of these groups today.
If you are interested in supporting any Filed Action Projects kindly email us at nn@cswnn.edu.in
Infrastructure
The college seeks funds for various infrastructure development initiatives, such as construction/extension/renovation of buildings, development of sports, support in procurement of books and journals, ICT/ teaching-learning software deployment/ maintenance, etc. If you believe that you would like to contribute to these initiatives in any manner you can get in touch with us by writing to us at nn@cswnn.edu.in
Loan Scholarship
Merit-cum-means loan scholarships are rather unique awards for needy students. There are two types, namely complete waiver loan scholarship (students do not need to be paid back if the donor wishes), and interest free loan scholarship (which is instituted by college). The college also encourages students to secure education loan at lower interest from public banks. If any donor wishes to institute complete waiver loan scholarships, or contribute to the existing interest free loan fund instituted by the college, please feel free to contact Ms. Sabeena, Administrator on any working week days.
Nutritional Support Scheme
The free noon meal scheme exists in the college since the beginning. It was initiated by the faculty and staff after noticing students who skip meals and dropping out of college due to economic conditions. The rationale behind the scheme is that noon meals contribute to the right to education by facilitating enrolment and attendance by improving the nutritional levels of needy students thereby reducing sick days and improving ability to pay attention in studies. Providing sumptuous meals costs just 1500 rupees per month, per student. If you are interested in knowing more, kindly meet Ms. Sabeena, Administrator for more information.
