Along the years, the growing student population of the College as well as the need to provide students with an opportunity to put into practice the theoretical frameworks provided to them prompted the College to seek out options to expand horizontally. Towards this end it set up its Extension Centre at Goregaon in the year 1992. The Extension Centre initially housed the office of the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) training centre. Along with the ICDS programmes, the paraprofessional training in social work unit, as well as the Anubhav Mumbai project working with the suburban colleges started functioning from here. Over the years other field action projects of the College also moved its base to the Extension Centre.
The Extension Centre has remained a hub of activity throughout the year. Currently the Extension Centre is actively involved in organizing various training programmes such as the Para Professional training course, the Senior Citizens course and sensitization programmes for the suburban college youth through its project Anubahv Mumbai. The Centre also houses the Distance Education Unit of the College.
