1.1 Candidates aspiring for the BSW Programme should have completed HSC/12 th standard (10+2) from any of the approved boards in India.
1.2 Admission is open to men, women and other gender students for all programs.
2. Foreign University Candidates
Candidates from countries other than India are required to contact University of Mumbai for further process.
3. Reservation Norms under Minority HEI Status
3.1 College of Social Work (Autonomous) Nirmala Niketan Institute is a Catholic Christian Minority institution, affiliated to the University of Mumbai. As per the Judgement dated 12th October 2017 of the Honourable Bombay High Court vide Writ Petition No. 1726 of 2001, “Minority Colleges do not need to set aside seats for Backward Classes”. This is reiterated by the University of Mumbai Circular (No.Aff./Recog.I/Admission/(2018-19)/10/of 2018), dated 30th May, 2018. This Judgement renders null & void the directives regarding reservation of seats given by the University of Mumbai vide Circular No. Spl. Cell / (68) / 218 / 2005 Dated 3rd June, 2005 [i.e., SC (13%) / ST (7%) / DT(A) (3%) / NT(B) (2.5%) / NT(C) (3.5%) / NT(D) (2%) / OBC (19%) / SBC (2%)]. Thus, 50% of the seats are reserved for Christian Minority students.
4. Application Procedure
4. 1. Online Link
Application forms are invited for BSW program only through ONLINE mode. Applicant has to login through the ONLINE ADMISSION SYSTEM and register online with e-mail ID, mobile number and date of birth. On successful registration, an email will be sent to the registered e-mail ID with login credentials to access the form and complete it online.
4.2 Payment of Application Fee
The application fee shall be paid through the link provided in the form for ONLINE PAYMENT

5. Securing Admission (Most important things to be noted)
5.1. Admission of the selected candidates to the BSW programme will be confirmed only once the candidate pays the full fees for the academic year. The dates and timeline will be published in the website.
5.2. Admissions will be considered to be completed only when the full fees for the academic year are paid (against an official receipt) and the name of the applicant appears on the relevant rolls.
6. Progress in the Consecutive Years
6.1 All UG and PG admissions are valid only for one year and are therefore to be renewed for each subsequent year of study.
6.2 A student will not be re-admitted to the College if he / she has:
Had three unsuccessful attempts at the same examination.
Been debarred twice within the first four semesters due to lack of attendance.
Serious complaints of indiscipline against him / her in that year.
